Churngold Construction have been awarded and commenced the next phase of Groundworks on the new £110m Fairwater Campus. The works consist of the substructures and drainage and run until Sept 24.
When complete the school will be the first net zero school in Wales. A low carbon footprint is also being pushed throughout the construction process, by amending materials and construction methods to name a few.
The campus will bring 3 schools from across the community, Cantonian High School, Riverbank School, and Woodlands High School together on one site. As a Considerate Contractor, Churngold Construction understand the disruption a construction site can sometimes cause in the community. That’s why we are pleased to be able to get involved in the community to give something back. Martin Best, Churngold Construction’s Wales Director recently spent the day helping out at the local community centre tidying the grounds and meeting the people who run and attend there. We’ll also be providing and installing new patio areas to be enjoyed coming into the summer months, various members of the team will continue to support the community throughout the project.
