Project Overview

Client: Sir Robert McAlpine

Project Name: Bristol University Campus

Location: Bristol City Centre

Sector: Education

Project Value: £21M

Engineer/Architect: Buro Happold

Project Period: April 2024 to October 2026

Following on from us carrying out the Enabling Work package directly for The University of Bristol, we won the groundworks package for the main works with Sir Robert McAlpine, off the back of a 12 month PCSA period.

The site is very complex featuring river frontage, working alongside major railway lines, excavating, stockpiling, testing and disposal of contaminated ground, and dealing with contaminated groundwater, all in line with our environmental and sustainability obligations.

During the PCSA period we attended multiple design workshops working closely with Buro Happold and Heidelberg, the specified concrete supplier.
